JimTheSparky 3
Hello members, I’ve been to the site a bit several years ago but never posted anything. Back in the 1990’s I used to sell Carver equipment at a local retailer and couldn’t afford the Carver equipment at that time. Today Carver is all I prefer as a the final speaker driver! My tuner and preamps consist of more recent Yamaha equipment. I’m hoping you can help me out with a service question... I use 2 x TFM-35’s in mono to drive a pair of ALS Silvers. I have a third 35 on some basic speakers. This solo amp is not working right now. The protection relay never energizes. I’m looking for a recommended service shop to repair it and perform a chassis refresh on the 35 that failed and once it’s back I’ll send the other two out one at a time for testing and refresh so I’m not loosing any music playback time in the meantime! Thanks for any feedback, Jim Edited August 21, 2021 by JimTheSparky
Charlie 16,429
I would recommend Greg Garska; he owns Nelion Restoration and does excellent work. Over the the last few years he has restored over 25 Carver amps, preamps, etc of mine with outstanding results. You can't go wrong... https://nelionaudio.com/ 1

Sk1Bum 9,865
Hello Jim, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. I have to concur with the previous recommendations. Greg does excellent work. I have a couple of M1.0t's that I plan to send to him soon. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear. In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.
