Just joined

Hello all.  I am a new member.  Currently putting together a vintage system.  My first piece is a Carver 6250 receiver. How do I attach pics to a post?  I have the pics saved to my hard drive.

Hello Dave, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. 

Once you get to Novice status, you'll be able to post pics. Your post editor will change and show you the options. It's fairly straightforward, but if you have problems, we'll be happy to help. The best place to post system pics is in the Members Systems area. I look forward to seeing them

I saw your post about the dead tuner channel. That thread would be appropriate to post pics in if the pics are relevant to that thread.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Welcome, @Dave in Texas, glad you found us.

 

Love that receiver, and can't wait to see the pictures you have collected on your effort.

 

The "insert" picture step is very easy - just a few more posts from you to the site, and it will work for you  - like @Sk1Bum already said.  We put this process in place to reduce/eliminate spam on the site - this site is all volunteer operated, and funded.  And, it's also a target of spammers - hence the hurdle to separate the real Carver fans from the spammers is in place.  Thanks for understanding.

 

To insert a picture, I just drag and drop jpg file into the text editor from a file folder.  Drop it inline with the text you write, in the location you want the picture to be inserted in the text.  There are other ways too - and you can farble around with the justification - but that's more advanced.

Actually,  it's tha number of positive reactions, and the magic number is 6. Thank yous, that rocks, and love this count as positives.
