Nahash5150 10,999 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 LOL Can't say I didn't warn you about the size! Using a plexiglass or wooden plate will work - and lots of silicone.
zumbini 6,153 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 ...PET stands for Polyester.... Actually PET stands for PolyEthylene Terephthalate which is one of many polyesters. Polyester is a category of long chain polymers containing an ester group in it's main chain. PET is also used to make clothing, fiber fill/insulation, water bottles, paint/coatings, tape, etc. 2
danowood 2,167 Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Well, finally got the rest of the material to finish up these speakers for my Daughter. Her system is almost complete except for the Mod on the Amp and still waiting to get a BillD mod done on the preamp. Rest is ready. Her system will be composed of Techniqes sl-1300MKII turntable, Carver M1.0T MKII Opt 2 Amp, Carver C-1 (BillD mod) Carver TX-11 Tunner, Denon dcd 1520, and her refurbished Jensens LS-6B's. Here's the pics of the LS-6b completed. The refurbished crossovers before and after instillation, and then all the drivers in the cabinets. It's almost miller time.
zumbini 6,153 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Nice work Dan. Hope they last another generation. 1
Nahash5150 10,999 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Good work Dan. But I don't see any silicone! Lots of vibration in there. Murphy's Law #1 : If it can happen, it will.
danowood 2,167 Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 pics taken before I siliconed. They are strapped down to mounting ties, and then siliconed front and back edges heavely before insertion into the cabinets. Thanks for keeping an eye open.
dennismiller55 4,824 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Nice! Lucky daughter. I enjoy these post. Thanks for sharing. 1
