    Only one of the four MOSFETs didn't short out, but I have to replace it anyway—partly out of suspicion and partly because the new ones are different. A 27-ohm resistor connected to one of the blown MOSFETs is also open; I didn't see anything amiss with the power stage drivers (C4793 and A1837).

    The problem is that I can't find the 2121/5949 pair—it seems to be discontinued—and the IRF640s have also been replaced by the 640N. That’s why I’m looking for replacements for the Toshiba pair, and I was wondering if the 1943/5200 might work.
