Introducing myself, plus AL-III questions
FThumb replied to FThumb's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
So I just had my AL-III crossovers rebuilt (Nelion), and I noticed the woofer output was wired out of phase. I asked Greg about this, and he said this is correct and sent me an image of the manual spec (page 10). Sure enough, it shows the woofer out of phase. (This would also explain why my original Audessey setup thought one of my speakers was out of phase and I couldn't at the time understand why.) But it also shows the ribbon input's positive on the top, and the woofer input's positive on the bottom, making me wonder if this could have been a typo? If not, why would the woofer be wired out of phase, and should I keep it wired this way? -
