  1. Hi there, I’m Granitetop, getting crotchetier by the day, as I am getting ready to start the last season of life, I realized how much I love music after going into a hi end stereo place. Having started as a young man, joining the AF, while stationed in Europe, Germany specifically, we had the coolest places to purchase the best stereo equipment of forever. Most of you know this if you were in during the 70’s, 80’ and early 90’s, all that equipment was top of the line and Made in Japan, speakers were mostly American. We were a group called AMMO (ordinance), we all had beautiful stereos but not really knowing what we had, I bought a Carver HR-752 before leaving Germany. I had other stuff Altec 14’s Yamaha CD player like CD X-1…. Fast forward now, my AMMO brothers, kept most of their equipment to this day and are able to repair their stuff and that what brings me here, the broken Carver HR-752. Ta Da

  2. Hello all, I have been enjoying the sounds of my TFM 35 since 1993, replaced the lights a few times, gave up after that... didn't really need them. I have had the Carver powering my JBL L7's for the past 30 years and always loved the sound. Well the other day the Carver started to make a lot of static through both speakers. Seems it's kinda toasted, anybody know if it is worth it to repair. Cheers!

  3. Looks like I'm late to this party, so, WELCOME rcdarcy! Glad you found us! I have a full SoundStream SystemOne going as a bedroom system, C-1, T-1, DA-1, R-1. Sounds great through ADS L-730 speakers. At last count I had 16 C-1's, 7 T-1's, 6 DA-1's, 5 DA-2's and a bunch of other stuff. I must ask, why are you ending your quest? What direction are you going in? While I'm not buying any more C-1's or T-1's, what are you asking? Just to help those here, that SoundStream gear is quite decent. They are both remote capable, the tuner only remote via the preamp, by the way.
