Hi Rod my experience with Tannoy's are limited I had a pair of small book shelf speakers I forget the model now but they sounded pretty darn good to my ears and would take lots of power without complaint where as some speaker will start to break up at higher spl's these just kept getting louder and louder with no issues clear as a bell. Not sure what is in the Arden's you are looking at but I do know the dual concentric 15" gold's silver's red's are highly sought after and can easily bring 2k-8k a pair for some of these. No it doesnt come with a remote, you could make one with an 8-10 foot stick though As far as Ebay goes most likely not worth the effort to drag it out. I did have a Dragon a while back that was a nice deck though. REGARDS SNOW

Congrats on your score I do happen to have a Nakamichi something or rather cassette deck taking up valuable spaace that I would sell pretty reasonbly if your interested, I think it is one of their lower end one's but looks nice and if I recall sounds pretty good, if you want i'll dig it out give it a listen and post some pics. Thanks. My biggest concern was the cost of shipping 4 woofers and two mid woofers both ways, I shipped a pair of AR3A woofers to a fellow some time ago and it was a little over $100.00 one way so I figure it will cost me at least $400.00 to ship all 4 and most likely another $100.00 or so to ship the lower mids out and back plus whatever it would cost to have them re foamed most likely at least $200.00 so i'm thinking a minimum of $700.00 just to be able to hear them and I might not like them I will have to give it some serious thought first if the cabinets were pristine I wouldndt hesitate. Have any of you ever heard or own AR9's? I picked up a pair the other day for $75.00 they need foam on the mid woofers and woofers I wonder if their worth the trouble of doing them? REGARDS SNOW

These were I believe originally designed to be a mono system, they have a high sensitivity level so a low powered tube amp can push them easily, they look a lot bigger in real life also then in the pics You couldnt build the cabinents to day for less than a few k I wouldndt think. REGARDS SNOW
