Thanks Greg, that helps. I took a 100 level astronomy three years ago, and we discussed cosmic background radiation. We didn't discuss extra dimensions because the class didn't require algebra as a prerequisite. We didn't discuss the flatness of space. That was the single most enjoyable class that I've taken. Maybe that was because it was the only class I took that semester where I wasn't 20+ years older than the instructor.
