  1. They were playing at the MarsCon in Williamsburg last weekend. Bet y'all didn't know "Wizard Rock" was a genre?
  2. It looks to me that you've got limited options with this pairing, and neither are optimal: 1. If your satellites can't handle deep bass, run your signal source (CD/DVD player, etc.) into the RCA line level inputs of the sub, then run the sub's RCA outputs to the input of your amp. You'll have to control the overall volume with the source, however. 2. If your satellites can handle low bass, run from the loop outputs of your amp to the inputs of the sub. Since both the satellites and the sub might be trying to reproduce some of the same frequencies, they might not integrate as well. A separate preamplifier would be handy here, since your Emotiva doesn't have a tape/processor loop. Kept in mind the rather mild crossover of the Knight Shadow: fixed at 70Hz, and only 6dB per octave. You might end up sending too much deep bass to those satellites and they could be damaged if they weren't meant to take it. Hope that helps!
  3. Paris Texas - "Like You Like An Arsonist"
  4. The music (not the vocals) reminds me of the band "Ivy".
  5. Lots of staggering synth bass throughout the entire album. "Set Me On Fire" reminds me of Skrilkex.
  6. Welcome back, Dave! Hope you get that M-500t modded soon.
  7. Maybe not that *particular* example, but yes! From Wikipedia: The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car,[2] with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name.[3][4] And the irony- I remember when Iaccoca foisted them off on us, and they were anything *but* reliable!
  8. Welcome to theCarversite, Jim! It's never too late to enjoy good music. There are some incredible systems here! I wish I could do a tour one year and listen to them all. It won't be long before you meet other members in person. I'll second Gene's advice to invest in the M-1.0t. Not that the TFM-25 is a bad amp, but the M-1.0t has more potential. The Mk II Opt 002 mod turns it into one of the most powerful Carver amps! Looking forward to pics of your setup!
  9. Welcome to theCarversite, Doug! That's a nice looking combo you've got there. I've always had a soft spot for the TFM-15. Looking forward to seeing pics of your setup!
  10. Break of Reality - "Spectrum of the Sky"
  11. Welcome to theCarversite, Uncle! Nice setup you've got there. That CT-3 is a conveniently slim piece of gear! Since you've been lurking here, you know we would love to see pics of your gear.
  12. Includes banjo versions of The Beatles' "Paperback Writer" and The Eagles' "Take It Easy".
