  1. Welcome to TheCarveSite @corkdust! I'll second that, a very nice collection of gear!
  2. Sure thing! Mine is about 10 years old but is basically the same as the one in the following link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G6VTIDG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Welcome aboard @DaveyDick. I power mine down after I"m done with them. I have mine setup to power off when the TV goes off. There's a sense relay that opens, I set the TV as master and I've slaved my Roku, WDTV Hub, Onkyo AV, C-1 and M-1.5t to it. It's a slick way to completely shut it all down since the M-1.5t has no power switch. I only hear a slight barely audible tick at power off. There's no noise at all on power up.

    SPEAKER DILEMMA

I went for a pair of mid to late 80's Infinity RS-IIIb's based solely on the fact that I knew Sk1Bum had a pair of RS-IIIa's and liked them. I thought close enough and for $50 bucks I figured what the heck I couldn't pass them up here locally, I must try them. Man am I glad I did. They seem to be a perfect match to my M-1.5t as there is almost no discernible noise coming from them at all unless my ear is pressed firmly on the Emit tweet. Even then, I only hear the slightest hint of hiss from them. No noise at all from any of the other drivers. All I had to do was to treat them with a complete re-foaming kit on all four 10" poly woofers. Initially, I still liked my old KLH towers due to their superior glass shattering bass potential with their 4 12 inch woofers. But, now that the RS-IIIb's have broken in, the bass is far more "accurate"/"quick" and they are far better balanced than my custom modified KLH towers are. I would say, now, "That this is the best $50 dollars I've ever spent on anything audio related!" Technically, it was a little over $100 for the speakers , the "Simply Speakers" 10" foam surround kit and their nice cloth grill covering kits they sell. I believe the grill covering kit was about $18. These speakers sound fabulous matched with the M-1.5t. They are also masking any perceived hum or buzz, others experience here, on or from their M-1.5t's. I'd say this is a "match made in heaven."
  5. Robin Trower - Victims of the Fury
  6. Beethoven's 7th Symphony second movement Thanks to the BobFather, I've discovered that I absolutely love classical music, and in particular Beethoven. His 9th symphony is my all time favorite piece of music. However, his 7th symphony is gaining ground in popularity with me. And in particular the (Symphony No.7 in A Major Op.92 - Allegretto) 7th Symphony second movement. Without further adieu, one of my favorite passages:
  7. Heart - Little Queen - Treat Me Well
  8. Eric Clapton - Layla It's blowin' me outta here; and I love it! 😁
  9. Climax Blues Band - Couldn't Get It Right
  10. Sniff 'n' The Tears - Drivers Seat
  11. Phil Collins - Behind The Lines
  12. Boney James - Body Language
  13. Brian Culbertson - Toi Et Moi (You and me)

  20. Well, you're at a great place to get any help you might need. There are many very knowledgeable and terrific folks in here who are dedicated to all things Carver. If yours looks like the pic of mine below, then it still has those original blue (Capacitor Technologies) dual caps in it and really needs to be updated. I completed mine several years ago before there were the adapter boards available. Now you can email @Circuits & Concepts for one of his slick cca's that make this repair a snap for you. He also sells them on the bay too. Turbo
  21. Welcome to the TheCarverSite @deckley!!! Glad you found us here and you have chosen a very good amp there. I use the same one in my system and had to do some repairs on mine. If you haven't completed a re-cap/refurbishment on it, I'd recommend it be done soon since the low and mid rail caps on these are notorious for going bad by now. The repair/refurb I completed is documented in here in the link below: If you know yours has already been refurbed, then rock on! I love mine since the repair! Turbo
  22. One of my Faves too. Love Telegraph Road on this Album. Looks like it's time for me to round up the hardware to run SACD on.
  23. @Daddyjt Nice! Been a subscriber for years here, but nice to hear they've extended the trial period out to three months for folks to give it a whirl.
  24. Brian Bromberg - Three Views of a Secret
  25. I've always been a huge fan of Led Zeppelin, but this album is one of my all time favorites along with Rumours as Daddyjt started this thread with above. Easy to listen to this one start to finish... Led Zeppelin IV
