  1. I don’t have any experience with 3d printing but it would be nice to get reproduction parts of the same quality. Im sure there are many levels and capabilities that 3D printers can achieve but the layered look? Can 3D printers create a piece that is a perfectly smooth surface?
  2. It would be nice to get things like these made.
  3. One of the reasons you don’t see the buttons out there is because nobody makes them. And if you can get a display frame, the plastic is old and fragile and will break easily if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’ve reconstructed many of these and used epoxy and other materials that work for the most part very well. Those buttons are separate pieces and the pins on the main piece get melted to the button assembly. It would be nice to have the whole display available and be a new production piece.
  4. I had my MXR 150 for 35 years and it was the best receiver I ever had. Loved it. People loved the sound while cranking out the tune on some CV PA speakers. Easily restorable and worth it in my opinion.

  9. Yeh. There are not many videos on the things we do here. The bottom is the easiest way to get at the knobs. Also the 2 cables that go to the input board connect to a couple boxes. Those usually need to be sprayed too. The knobs and cable boxes are some of the most problematic items. Even after a total restoration these things can still cause scratchy sounds and often sound cutting out sometimes.

  12. Welcome to the site! I would keep the TFM75’s. They are worth a lot more than the PT2400’s. And they are pretty much the same amp. But that’s just my opinion. But if you really want to do the deal, I have a 2400 I’ll trade with you. 😁
  13. Welcome to the site. I had bought mine in 1987 and then April 2020 had Nelionaudio restore it for me. After all the parts replaced and spraying of knobs, it was as good as new. They are great receivers and last a long time. But they need to be used often and possibly spraying the knobs from time to time.

  18. Welcome to the site. I have bought kits in the past and won’t do it again. There are many versions that have updated components. I prefer to do my own parts list for the components that are in my unit. You can also see how parts fit in their respective areas and tweak them to fit better if needed.
