  4. Yeh. There are not many videos on the things we do here. The bottom is the easiest way to get at the knobs. Also the 2 cables that go to the input board connect to a couple boxes. Those usually need to be sprayed too. The knobs and cable boxes are some of the most problematic items. Even after a total restoration these things can still cause scratchy sounds and often sound cutting out sometimes.

  7. Welcome to the site! I would keep the TFM75’s. They are worth a lot more than the PT2400’s. And they are pretty much the same amp. But that’s just my opinion. But if you really want to do the deal, I have a 2400 I’ll trade with you. 😁
  8. Welcome to the site. I had bought mine in 1987 and then April 2020 had Nelionaudio restore it for me. After all the parts replaced and spraying of knobs, it was as good as new. They are great receivers and last a long time. But they need to be used often and possibly spraying the knobs from time to time.

  13. Welcome to the site. I have bought kits in the past and won’t do it again. There are many versions that have updated components. I prefer to do my own parts list for the components that are in my unit. You can also see how parts fit in their respective areas and tweak them to fit better if needed.
