  1. Although there are a ton of tunes I get pumped on, I think that Santana's Soul Sacrifice is my all time favorite. Not only should it be good for an extra 30 mph while driving - nomatter what the speed limit is, but I think if you get stopped and tell the cop why you were speeding, he'll let you go.
  2. Great job David - and thanks for sharing the pics with us. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of your 301's.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion Rabbit. I guess even if that didn't work, it would really suck!! Sorry, somebody had to say it!
  4. I've seen worse systems that ended up looking OK. However, I'm not sure about the smell. Let me know how you make out with it. I fixed up a pair of Behringer Truth biamped studio monitors that my son shipped home from SC. His packing was totally inadequate and, being about 30 lbs each, one of the cabinets was totally dismembered when it arived home. Of course, the UPS insurance was useless. Anyways, I put the system back together and reinforced all of the joints on both boxes with construction adhesive. Structurally, this worked great. However, even 6 months later, when the speakers are cranking and there's enough air moving out of the ducted port to blow out a match, the smell of construction adhesve is pretty strong. It likely permeated the acoustic insulation inside the boxes. It will probably dissipate some day, but it is an annoyance right now. Good luck with your project David - keep us posted.
  5. About 100 LPs and 200 CD's. I once go stupid 15 years ago too and sold about 100 LPs for no other reason than I didn't have room. Glad I kept what I still have.
  6. He's had so many great lines through his career, and still going...barely. You gotta love the guy for putting so much passion in his craft.
  7. I've got lots of favorites; depends on the mood. However, this one from Carol King has been like an ear worm that's been there since 1971... Music is playing inside my head Over and over and over again My friend, there's no end - to the music Not very deep, but not depressing either.
