  4. Hi Carlton. Welcome back!

  6. Welcome to Carver site! I think you're going to like it here.
  7. I'm usually motivated by What Are You Listening To Right Now? to find certain music (or samples) on the internet just to try it out. If I like what I hear, I'll typically put it in my shopping cart or on my wish list at Amazon. Not to be too impulsive, It typically will ferment there for a couple days before I actually place the order. Additionally, I occasionally go to the new/used record/cd stores - there are two good ones left in this city. However much fun that is, it takes time and I haven't had a lot lately. After that, I listen to some radio programming (Acoustic Storm is my favorite) and will scan the net and the radio dial for more. Good topic!
  8. Welcome Bob. Glad you stopped by.
  9. I was unlucky enough to end up with two of these on vinyl from a garage sale. One is still sealed in cellophane; the other is autographed "with love to Sandy" - whoever that is... Jerry Tiffe - the original Las Vegas lounge lizard. Recorded live. If anybody wants one - speak up now - first come, first serve - I'll be glad to send it. I'm posting it here because to post it in the karma thread might be bad karma. Then, again, maybe someone would enjoy it...
  10. Welcome to the forum staticvar. Glad you're here. Next step would be figuring out how to post a pic or two of that tasty equipment. Enjoy!
  11. I saw an article over the weekend where someone was listing the "ten albums you'd want to have if stranded on a desert island." Of course, that assumes you have a system on the desert island to play them. Anyway, I made my list and then came here to see what was already posted and found this thread. There seems to be somewhat of a recurring theme with many of us - with a couple interesting twists thrown in by each. Here's my list: 1. Bob Dylan, Blood on the Tracks 2. Beatles, White Album 3. Pink Floyd, The Wall 4. Elton John, Yellow Brick Road 5. Eric Clapton, From the Cradle 6. Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon 7. Neil Young, After the Gold Rush 8. Bob Dylan, New Morning 9. Queen, A Night at the Opera 10. Manhattan Transfer, Anthology - Down in Birdland 11. Steely Dan, Goucho OK - I can't stop at ten!
  12. I love Zappa - he was one smart guy. As for Rhianna - that work isn't worth two cents!
