I have a pair of Polk Monitor 10's. They say Monitor Series 10 on the back.

Is there an "A" and "B" model? Which one is mine? How can I tell?

There are a few different models. Post a picture of the tweeter. A flat metal plate with angled leads should be an early Monitor 10 with Peerless tweeters, one of my favorites.

I've tried to post pics from my phone and the site wont let them load. Says the file size is too big. I don't know what to do...….

The tweeter says Polk Audio Silver Coil Dome.

Eric, your rank only allowed up to 1Mb per download. I gave you Member rank now (since I've known you for years now), so it's up tp 5Mb per download. If you ever have any trouble, just please let me know. I will fix it.

I believe the newer RDO-194 tweeters improve the top end.

Right on the RDO -194's Kevin , they are drop in replacements for the silver coil domes and far better. There is also an RDO-198 that are a bit better than the 194's but require crossover mods and the mounting hole to be enlarged so maybe not worth it.

The best thing Eric is upgrade the xovers and throw in the 194's. Great speakers.

Eric,

pindrop is right on: upgrade those xo's with Solens & Mills (values can be found on the Polk Audio forum)...BIG improvement!

I agree with crossover upgrades too, can’t go wrong with suggested parts,  I used mills resistors and sonicaps and solens in my SDAs!

Barry we must have read the same stuff. Exactly what I used with fantastic results. Eric my speaker sickness has me eyeballing a primo set of 10's down here now. Great sounding speakers and I think they would just work perfectly with my CF275..........yep real real nice.....? must go now. Precious
