Zenith4me 1,480 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Hello all, I went into to the Magnepan site to order a repair kit for some maggies that I got from Will in a recent deal and found this statement on their website: Emergency Service Bulletin Effectively immediately, Magnepan is forced to temporarily suspend all future Return Authorizations for speaker repairs including parts orders for speaker repairs. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope to have our service department fully functioning soon. This temporary suspension on service and parts requests does not apply to warranty service and parts. Thank you for your patience. I hope this doesn't mean they are about to go out of business. I was also going to order a pair of LRS's but I'll wait now and see what transpires. 1 2 1

The new "Hopefull return date because of the chip shortage is Oct 4" And now because of Hurricane Ida you probably won't find a new car in most places for a long time. 1 2

SteveFord 1,119 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) They are short staffed at the moment, they are not going out of business. I heard from a guy earlier this week, 3-4 months wait time for LRS. While I think of it, they have you place the order online and then they call you to verify your info and get your credit card info (they bill you when they ship). The fellow wrote me as he didn't get a call back so I think I'd just forget the online part and call them up and get in line. The problem with mine are they showed me just how crappy an old Adcom amp really is. Soon to be rectified, details to follow... Edited September 17, 2021 by SteveFord 4 1
