Hello everyone. I'm a Carver fan, and have been for a long time. I currently have a C-1, four M-1.0t's, one TX-2, and one DTL-200MK2. Non Carver gear consists of Denon DVM-4800 DVD, Harman Kardon TD302 cassette, Harman Kardon EQ8, and a Dual CS 505-2 (with an Ortofon OM20 cartridge). I've been dreaming about updating my amps since 2008, but never pulled the trigger. My speakers are Polk SDA-SRS.

I will post pics when I figure out how to get them from my Mac Photos to here.

Welcome to the Carver site. Nice list of gear. Looking forward to seeing pictures.

No better time than the present to get started with your amp updating journey.

WELCOME @MD80MECH!

I too have Carver M-1.0t (MKII opt 2) amps pushing Polk SDA SRS speakers ~^

May I suggest you read up on the MKII upgrade for your amps...

Yes, I would love to upgrade my amps to the MKII opt 2. But maybe just 2 of them. I did work avionics on the MD82,  83, and 87 series for 35 years. Retired in 2021. Dennis47, have you done anything to your SDA SRS speakers like re-capping the cross overs? I was thinking about doing that while the amps are in the hangar.

@MD80MECH,

Yes, SDA SRS have rebuilt X/Os (Solens platinum caps) Larry's metal rings kit and new gaskets.

Rebuilding the X/Os is well worth the cost. Night & day difference!   |-|

My gear was all in our dining room as we have been remodeling. I now have hardwood floors in the living room, but I had to bring my components out to photograph. Unfortunately I never took any pics when it was set up. And I have to drag my SDA SRS speakers out to photograph. But I will. I bought all the Carver components new in March 1987. (With the exception of 2 M-1.0t's that I bought in 1991 when Carver quit making them.)
