arcsound 20 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Long time audiophile, but just acquired my first Carver unit, after all these years! The Carver Receiver, model 900. Very nice construction. Unfortunately, it has an issue, but I will address that in a separate post. My first real quality purchase was a Marantz 1030 integrated amp, around 1975. Bought a pair of Polk Model 10s in 1981. It’s been a long journey since…. Richard Troy, VA 7
Kurt 2,894 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Welcome to the Carver Site! I'm sure someone here can help you with our technical issues. I have a 900 The Receiver, too, amongst all my Carver gear. I did have a minor issue with it, in that the tuner section did not output anything... when Tuner was selected you couldn't actually hear it. All the indicator lights worked and showed that a signal was being caught.... but no sound. I really didn't care because I don't listen to the radio. But, I had a local guy look at it anyway. He fixed it very quickly......said there was some solder (I don't know where) that was cracked or broken... he re-soldered it and got it working. For being on the lower end of Carvers in terms of power, I really like the sound of the 900 Receiver. It's a very nice unit.

Brian_at_HHH 2,691 Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Welcome to the group! There are lots of folks, here, who can assist you with issues, though I won't offer help, as I'm not sure which end of the soldering iron to hold... Good luck with things!
