Hello Granitetop and welcome to the carversite.com. Glad you found us. Thank you for your service! My first CD player was a Yamaha CD X-1, and I may still have it in the attic. I did some housecleaning this spring, and I don't recall tossing it, but I may have. It gave me several years of service.

Hello ssurfer and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. Absolutely your TFM-35 is worth repairing. Nelion Audio is a great choice for the repair. I know that first hand. All the work that Nelion has done for me is exceptional.

Just a simple introduction to the "Old Man"
Sk1Bum replied to Old Man's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
Hello Old Man (there are a few of us) and welcome to thecarversite.com Glad you found us. There are quite a few threads on the M200t, and a few on the C4000. I hope you find what you need or want. Smooth jazz is the bulk of my listening for the last few years with some blues and classic rock thrown in from time to time. I like classical too, but I've not listened to that for a while. Hmm, thanks for reminding me. I'll queue up some Beethoven later. -

Ana Popovic, Dance to the Rhythm was released on September 25, 2025 "Dance To The Rhythm is appropriately titled, as it is packed full of danceable tunes and great guitar work. Recorded on Electric Heel Records at Kona Town Recording Studio in Redondo Beach, California, the album is a ten-song offering of great music from an exceptional talent. Ana Popovic wrote, or co-wrote, every tune on this project except for a Paul Simon classic. A mix of R&B, blues, soul, rock, funk, and Latin-influenced styles and sounds, this album is sure to please even the most critical listener." You can read the rest of the review here...

New to the site, but not to Carver amps!

OMG, cats and electrostatic speakers is not a good mix. On a similar note, I had an ex that told me I had a problem with stereo gear, and I needed to get rid of something. I agreed, and I got rid of her. -
Hi LarryT and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. Along the top of almost every page here, there is a menu bar, and one of the selections is Manuals and Specsheets. Clicking on that will take you to a table that kinda resembles and Excel spreadsheet. Across the bottom of that table, you will see the various Carver brands, Carver, Lightstar, Phase Linear and others. The Carver page is selected by default, and you can scroll through the owners and service manuals that we have available. While we don't have them all, we do have many, and you're welcome to any or all of them at not charge. I hope we have what you're looking for, and we'd love to see pics of your gear.

carver c1 preamp infrasonic filter
Sk1Bum replied to robertcdt's topic in The Welcome Shop (Please read first)
Several have reported counterfeit parts in some kits. I don't know if @Circuits & Concepts has a kit, but he would be the only one that I'd fully trust. Les is also a member here, highly respected, and runs a good business. Most of the techs here source out the parts from Mouser, Digikey, and Parts Express (I think). -
Hello BRed and welcome to thecarverstie.com. Glad you found us. Do you have stereo or home theater gear? If so, what gear do you have? Would love to read about it, but if you're just here for education and being social, that's OK too.

Hello robertcdt and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. If you've not found them yet, the owners and service manuals can be downloaded here: https://thecarversite.com/manuals/mandir/Carver C-1 owner manual.pdf https://thecarversite.com/manuals/mandir/Carver C-1 Service Manual.pdf You may find them useful. I certainly did. Well, the owner's manual anyway. I am in no way an electronics tech, and the service manual is mostly Greek to me. Fortunately, there are many talented techs here that understand it well. -
Hello mstodola and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. Congrats on the 6200. I hope it works out for you!

Art Hirahara, Peace Unknow was released on July 18, 2025. "Art Hirahara’s Peace Unknown is a vivid modern jazz program rooted in the rich history of jazz. Drawing on a lifetime of varied musical study, ranging from early improvisational training with unconventional classical mentors to immersion in West African, Balinese, and North Indian traditions, Hirahara has cultivated a jazz language that is both organic and architecturally precise. That balance comes to life in this septet setting, where horn textures, rhythmic design, and improvisational dialogue merge into a unified statement." You can read the rest of the review here...

Mirador, Mirador was released today, September 19, 2025. "Instinctive side-project from Greta Van Fleet guitarist Jake Kiszka doubles down on the good stuff in MIRADOR’s classic rock bolt from the blue. ... the whole myth and folklore attached to rock’s genesis – that made Greta Van Fleet guitarist Jake Kiszka want to walk this dusty road alongside his friend, Englishman Chris Turpin of alt. folk duo Ida Mae. That, plus the opportunity to simply let rip on his six-string without compromise." You can read the rest of the review here...

Hello drpixel and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. What a great back story! The M400t was my first Carver amp, and at one time I had 6 of them. I used one bridged for each channel in my home theater. My daughters both have one in their 2 channel systems. The TFM's are all popular here with many threads regarding them. Are you still using the Martin Logan Aerius? I have a pair of Martin Logan ESL's in my stereo rig, and I love them. They're driven by an M-500t mkII, and that's a great pairing to these old ears. -

Hello mwc951 and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. I have to second what Daddyjt said. There is no better tech than Greg at Nelion Audio. Congrats on the score, and we all love pics. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading pics in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of stereo and home theater gear. -
Thanks. I edited the Chris Rea post. I did have to dig through some links to get to one that didn't have ads. Hopefully, this one works.
