BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Just got this from Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series. Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue 2
BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 It sure is. Remasterd from the Original Analog Tapes on 180 gram vinyl. Sounds so clean. 1
BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Thank goodness I never gave up my TT when CD players came out.
Receiver2000 4,738 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 It's good, vinyl makes me set down my glass of bourbon and use two hands!!! 1
BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 You do, you like Jazz. A lot of good TT's out there. My one big change was the phono cartridge adding a PL 1000 series 2 and a bellari phono preamp. 1
BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 That's what I'm talking about. A whole different world.
Stuart Halloran 4 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I actually bought a bunch of decent TTs when everyone thought that CDs were all that and a bag of chips. Rehabbed 'em and sold 'em too cheap. Kept the good ones. Kept all of my records too. All 3000 or so. Just listening to LEe Konitz, John Kelmmer, Talking heads, Allman Brothers newest Live at the Fillmore and Funkadelics. Love some variety. Working from home has it's benefits! 1
BobTFM35 3,088 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 @Receiver2000On order - Concord On A Summer Night. (Near Mint) and Summertime Take Ten · Paul Desmond
Receiver2000 4,738 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Two unbelievable records there!!! If you are used to Brubeck playing with Paul Desmonds alto sax, it is interesting to hear his play on Blue Roots with Gerry Mulligan. It seems that Brubeck hits the keys harder playing against Mulligans baritone sax.
