Paul, why have we become such strangers?» asks director Ramòn Giger reproachfully of his busy father. Paul Giger, violinist of world renown, is arranging his opus Karma Shadub for performance in the cathedral of St.Gallen. Ramòn films, searching for the person behind the musician, the father by whom he feels abandoned. In nightly conversations, a painful exploration of their relationship begins. Ramòn realises that at the bottom of his confused emotions is the separation of his parents.

KARMA SHADUB is the portrait of a father-son relationship, a personal film about separation and self-discovery - quite simply, about becoming an adult.
