HAPPY EAR 316 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 FINALLY got my new Marantz CD6007 CD player! Ran over to Buckeye Lake, hit Vance's Sporting Goods on the way for some gun cleaning supplies and had a great visit with my bud, Damon. He graciously got the unit for me through his audio gear contacts. I MUST say, so far, I AM IMPRESSED! Can't really crank it up just yet(She Who Must Be Obeyed is still sleeping), but I am hearing great sonics even at a lowered level. Did NOT know what I had been missing! NAD player was great, but...WOW! Thru the Sunfire and the Carver ALS's! She needs to get up! Alarm goes off at 7:30! Oh yeah...First play is Moody Blues, "Every Boy Deserves Favor"! Use your imagination for now, Boys! Rock On! Bob In Zanesville

About 5 years ago my very expensive CD player started skipping and I decided not to fix it because unfortunately I was experiencing "listening fatigue" anyway after listening to a couple CD's. So I did alot of research and decided that because I dont really listen to alot of CD's (I am really just a vinyl guy) and that I didnt want to spend the kind of money that I did on my previous player, I landed on the Marantz CD6006. I find that it has a very natural sound, much like vinyl with no "listening fatigue". There is some music that I love that just isn't available on vinyl so I occasionally really do need a CD player and I think that I got the right one for me. Hope that you find the same. I think that the 6007 replaced the 6006.
