Artists from both sides of the aisle would sell more recordings if they would adhere to that, to me at least. I saw Don Henley get heavily booed here during Bush Jr's term for criticizing him. Henley was certainly surprised, and then said something to the effect of knowing the room, and that he'd get back to playing music and leave the politics elsewhere. To that he got the largest positive response of the night. 1
