Ar9Jim 6,512 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Hi Guys, I'm back in the USA and the packaging vendor still keeps putting me off a week at a time. I used this vendor in the past with good results but this time they seem to be having business issues internally. We have many vendors for packaging in my area and I will get the samples back and go to another vendor. They were a good vendor in the past so I tried to be patient but it appears its time to move on to the next source. Sorry for the long delay as I hoped to have this done before going on vacation last month. 2
BillWojo 542 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Hi Jim, glad to see your back. My guess is that packaging supplier is courting some big companies and catering to them. That kind of stuff can come back and bite them in the ass. Lose a big customer and it can hurt your business bigtime. I'd rather have 100 smaller customers than a few big ones. Especially in this crazy economy. I just shipped 2 amps to a member here and they were in the original boxes. I double boxed them for additional protection but having the original boxes was big. Rockster2U 668 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Jim, Welcome back - I trust you had a good trip and that the wife loves you more than ever. Personally, I wasn't sure if we were going to be hearing from you again anytime soon and am delighted with your return. I never jumped on the initial box thread but if additional quantities may help you leverage an order, I'll be glad to commit to a few M1.0's and a couple of C-1's. Regardless, it's good to see you back on the board.
Ar9Jim 6,512 Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Thank you. I didn't know myself. Cancer is some scary stuff. Other than a few scars, it looks like I will be around to enjoy the music for a while. It was an eye opener for sure, but I learned from it and hope to be a better person because of it. Sure appreciate friends and family more than ever. Taking life a day at a time and not stressing so much. Some good came from it for sure. Good to see the same great people here. Please keep our friend Kevin in your thoughts and prayers. It sounds like he's having a tough time right now and he's the kind of guy who will help anyone he can..Get well soon Kevin! 1

LVMAN777 352 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 DO NOT GO GENTLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT Do no go gently into that good night Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. DYLAN THOMAS 1
