OK.  I would like to post to the "What are you listening to?" thread.  But I'm having a hard time figuring out an easy way to post the album art.

Anybody have an easy way to do this???

Thanks

I get my album art from AllMusic or Amazon.  At both sites if you left click the art then you get a larger display of the art.  Then right click on the art.  Select copy image.  Now it is in the clipboard.  On this site after clicking "post a reply" just paste the art (Ctrl V) into the edit screen and then post.  The picture is actually still hosted on the other site and not taking room on our server.  This is much quicker and easier than clicking "insert image" in the editor tool bar and going through that process.
If you get your art from somewhere else and it is to large on our screen then just double click the image and set the size width to 500 or 400.  Your preference.

Hope this helps.

From the Post a reply box left click the Insert Image icon (top toolbar, 4th icon from the right).

From there you can insert a public image link or browse to a file on your hard drive.

Once the file has uploaded click OK, then click INSERT.

I am confused by the conflicting advice on image "insertion", so I must try it both ways.

Here is an image using Zumbini's method (which is what I use):

And here is the same using Dennis' method:

Denns' is certainly the easiest, and if he says it does not take up server space, then I will switch to that method, as most of my digital collection already has cover art on my server and I will not have to search for it on the net.

Thanks to all who provide the education.

FYI - Greg has asked everyone to post pictures via web links (the Dennis method) and NOT upload pictures to the server, especially in the "What are you listening to?" thread...

Web links should always be the first choice, however, that's not always possible so I posted both methods.

Please do not upload album art or other 'glitter' pics. Uploading is for our DIY, troubleshooting, projects, etc - useful stuff.

It's very easy to post links instead of uploading.

Option 1:

Use BB-Code. Use the bracket 'img' and '/img'. This will insert the image, not just a link to the image...

'<link address>'

Option 2:

You can also use the CuteEditor:

Click the 'Insert Image' on the toolbar.

Paste in the link address in URL. You can resize it with the 'Width' or 'Height'. The Width and Height will fill with the dimension only if the link is valid.

Then just click insert.

you do not need to hit the 'upload' button if you are inserting a link!

Thanks!

How do I get the tool bar back, it has gone mia and none of the normal tricks are working to regain access.

Are you using the "post reply" radio button (header bar shows) instead of "quick reply" button (no header bar) from a computer?

Just a thought.
