Sk1Bum 11,368 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I discovered a new FM station quite by accident just scanning the spectrum with my TX-2. Springfield has a fairly new station that started up in September last year. They play strictly blues and jazz with absolutely NO commercials other than the station identifiers. They're funded entirely by donations, and if you're interested, you can stream them live from this link. tunein. com KWPQ 103.3 You can check out the station here: KWPQ 103.3 4 1

kve777 6,881 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Nice! In Philly, we have WXPN, University of Pennsylvania. Lots of new and old tunes. 1
zumbini 6,147 Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Not much worth listening to in central VA but the low power college stations can be amusing. (I DJ'd at a couple in the late 60's/early 70's.) BTW: Station finders like https://radio-locator.com/ can help you locate special content and/or low power stations. Just enter your zip code for a listing: 2
BluesMan57 1,407 Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Nice indeed, great to see someone keeping the Blues alive. Here in Orlando our Collage station plays old school Jazz and on Saturday night it's all Blues with Smoke Stack Lighting.......http://www.wucf.org/index.php 1
Blues Pwr 766 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Great station, thanks for sharing with the group............ 1
iamjohngalt 2,764 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Thanks for the lookup link , Zumbini. It reminded me that I used to enjoy WREK (Ga Tech) They have a very varied program, but at least it doesn't include a lot of political propaganda rubbish., and they have an HD online broadcast, too. https://www.wrek.org/shows/blocks/ 1
weitrhino 1,443 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 fmfool.com is another good one. It will produce a signal strength chart and location graphic based on your data input 3
