Welcome!

The Sunfire VTCC is hard to find but not impossible. If you find one without a phono amp, it's okay. We make a new retrofit phono stage.

Welcome @Parmaniac.  So glad you found us.

One of these VTCC's just sold on Ebay, for about $1500, w/o the phono pre.

They do come around.  Also watch for one on USAudioMart.com.

How much does one of these cost and is it better than an external phono preamp? I have a VTCC without the phono.

Hello! I just installed one for a VTCC last week.

They are $600 installed. You'll need to also buy 6 tubes - 4x 6922's and 2x 12AX7's.

No one who has ever used one of these has gone back to using an external. This phono board is AMAZING.

Those are Telefunken Black Diamond 6922's and Eletro-Harmonix gold pin 12AX7's. The 12AX7's are for the subsonic filter, so they don't need to be uber expensive tubes there.

Very nice! It looks amazing. I have Telefunken 6922 in my VTCC on the main board. I bought the VTCC with those tubes in it. I have the factory tubes also. Should I pm you to get more information about the phono board, or is there another location on the forum you can point me to? Unfortunately resurrected a long dead thread but couldn't help myself when is saw the phono board and that you made them.
