Please use this thread to request cabins and ask general questions about reservations, etc.

I have listed last year's attendee that will have dibbs.  Please post your intent here or otherwise let me know by May 15 if you intend to repeat in your cabin.

Hi Glenn,

Welcome to the Carverfest Sound Room.  I see you are a long-time member of the forum.  We would love to have you join us at CF this year.  I hope that some other past and regular attenders will jump in with their impressions and descriptions of CF.  It is an event like no other I know of.  In fact, the POLK people tried to copy it with their own Polk Fest a few years back but it did not catch on.  It is very laid back time with very little structure.  Take a look at the information online concerning Watershed Resort (Watershed Resort | Stonewood Cabins).  This a collection of cabins that are within walking distance of each other and in a private area.

There are very few structured events other than gatherings for fellowship and evening meals several of the nights.  Different cabins will host the entire group.  Not every cabin hosts and it is purely voluntary.  During the days people wonder from cabin to cabin listening to tunes and the systems that many bring.  My wife and I have been going for 11 of the 18 years and I am proud to say that I have made many lifelong friends.

The vent runs officially for two weeks.  Some stay longer and some just for a weekend.

Others, PLEASE add your thoughts.

Ed

I have spoken to many of last year attendees, and most are coming back to the same cabins.  I am sorry to say that Greg and Jenny will not make it and have asked that their Treehouse Cabin be released.

My wife and I attended in 2020 and had a great time with everyone. We also enjoyed going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We drove through parts of the famous “Tail of the dragon”. It’s a beautiful place to go and meet like minded people. Hopefully someday we can make it back there again and spend time with the wonderful people we met.

Rob,  Thank you for your comments.  We would love to see you back this Fall.  Ed

@sea were Greg and Jenny were in Treehouse A?  I would sign up for Treehouse A instead of Treehouse C, if so.   It's just a tad easier to move gear in and out of Treehouse A.

2025 Carverfest Rate Calculator.xlsx

The rate calculator for this year is above for download.  Our contact is Candace Moore.  I do not have a specific number for her, but I will post when I do.   In the meantime, call the Stonewood Cabins number and ask for her.  The number is 828-222-0802.

Most people have stated their intent to exercise options.  If you have not you have until May 15 to do so or the cabins will be opened up to others.

Reservations must be made with Stonewood and deposit paid by June 15.  I think the balance is due 4 or 6 weeks before arrival.

Thanks, and please let me know if there are questions.

CF2025 is getting closer by the day.  The cabins are mostly full with Cabin 2 (2 bedrooms) and all three Woodland Lofts (one bedroom) still available.  Join us for a great experience.

Ed,

It turns out that I will be unable to attend Carver Fest this year so Treehouse D is open.

@sea Ed, and CF folks, unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year.  I have some travel and a family commitment that has arisen which conflicts.  I hope you all have fun.  Please post pics :).

Is there a schedule of events somewhere for this year's (2025) CarverFest??  I'd like to stop in!

Posted

Eric,

Thank you for reaching out.  CF is a  very laid back - not too many scheduled events - kind of adventure.  The bulk of people will start showing up on Friday Sept 5 and most will leave the following weekend, Sunday Sept 14.  On Sunday night, Sept 7, there will be a gathering for dinner in my Cabin (8).  On Saturday night, Sept 13, the Resort owners will host an evening with BBQ and live music.  There will also, most likely, be other dinners in other cabins but none are specifically scheduled yet.

Other than that, you can expect that people just make the rounds from cabin to cabin listening to music, admiring fine gear, and making friends.  Of course, Bob Carver will be there for the dates I mentioned above.

If you decide to come there are a couple of one bedroom units available or their are hotel options in town.  Feel free to call me on my cell with questions or a heads up of when to expect you.  I would be honored to introduce you around,

I look forward to meeting you,

Ed

Hi all,

I'm brand new to the site having just registered last night. I've owned a few pieces of Carver gear in the past though it's been quite a while. However I'm looking at potentially buying a pair of Amazing Line Source speakers, which are VERY hard to find for demoing. I'm in Raleigh NC so CF is pretty driveable for me. Obviously, the hour is a bit late but I'm hoping to come out for a day or two during the week and especially if there will be a pair of ALSs there. (Not to mention the man himself, of course!) So I'm just wondering if anyone has info or suggestions. If there is a room available for 1-2 nights I'd be more than happy to contribute to cost.
