dklman 6 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Hello Carver Community, I am based in Douglasville, GA (Metro Atlanta area) and joined the site to connect with fellow Carver audio enthusiasts. I am actively searching to acquire a clean pair of 60-inch Carver Amazing Platinum speakers in factory High-Gloss Piano Black finish. Looking forward to learning from the community and hopefully connecting with a local member in the Southeast who might have a pair! 6

Community Admin AndrewJohn 11,636 Posted Sunday at 05:54 PM Community Admin Posted Sunday at 05:54 PM Welcome to TCS, @dklman. Carver AMazing Platinums come up from time to time..., in the south east. It may be morbid..., but the retired community in Florida and South Carolina has a lot of Carver Gear..., and that area is a hotbed of some estate sales. Be sure to monitor FB Marketplace in the major metro areas in FL and SC - assuming that is close enough for you to drive to pick them up. ...and, you WILL want to pick them up - they are not easily shipped - without damage to the ribbons. FWIW, getting ahead of your curve..., you'll want to invest in a couple of twin-size air mattresses at Walmart - and when you find a pair, you'll take your truck or van (or rent one) to pick them up laying down one air mattress down, putting one speaker on top of that, then another air mattress, and tie them securely so they don't bounce too much. Inflate the air mattresses to allow for a good cushion - but not over-inflated - you want the speakers to "sink in" a bit - but not so much that they make contact with the van floor, or second speaker on top... Good luck on your search! 1
