  1. Nice restoration and write-up. Thanks also for the background to the design of the speaker shape/driver locations. I have never heard this EPI model, but I agree, the ability to adjust the forward and reflected sound does make some sense. I like the EPI speakers that I own, just don't get them out often, anymore.

  4. Thanks for the pic. They look good. I'm determined to get mine out this weekend...
  5. Nice, will follow this. I have (3) sets of Epicure (EPI) speakers, M201, M400 & 140. I need to get the M400's back out and play with them, again. The cabinets on those look very good.
  6. Yep, lots of records and tapes from Columbia House. My parents were ready to wring my neck.
  7. Spinning some Allman Brothers.

  10. I personally like looking at my amps, naked, out in the open (the amps, that is). My wife, on the other hand, would probably be all for covering them up when not in use.
  11. They look great. Enjoy the speakers!
  12. I think that's a good solution. Anxious to see how it looks finished.
  13. Try One Day Glass on the internet. I had some glass bases made for my Silver 9t's, (4) for around $185... I think.
  14. Do you have the glass tops?
  15. They will look good. A nice score. I've got a set of Altec Valencias that I picked up a few years back. I've built new crossovers and they sound great, but the cabinets are terrible. The guy had them in his basement and let his dog pee on them... needless to say, they sat in my garage for a year before I brought them into the house. I need to rebuild the cabinets, but, they're huge and I don't have much space in the garage to work on them. Maybe this Spring. Enjoy the Infinitys.
  16. Looks good. Were those painted originally?
  17. Post pics when you can. I have a pair of the Infinity 2000, same hard velcro-like mounting. The grills on mine have an MDF frame, pretty heavy and rigid.
  18. Now, a little Kind Of Blue....
  19. Next up, Wish You Were Here on SACD.
  20. Taking a break from the world, tonight. Listening to some Dire Straits on SACD.
