  1. From the $1 Sale @ Library:
  2. Hello Martin, somewhere is a thread on how warm do your amps run, perhaps someone will chime in with the thread link, or search it. As I recall, no reports of hot systems, or even too warm to touch. I used inexpensive small diameter PVC pipe, 1 inch height, from the hardware store at one tome but no longer, the amps never were more than warm to touch. And, welcome, post some pics when you get a chance.
  3. From the library's $1 For Sale offerings, some others to follow: Interesting to see the music catalogue in a different parts of the country.
  4. For Halloween:
  5. Glad Steve Tibbett's struck a chord with you, weitrhino.
  6. Imagine John McLaughlin's Shakti with Adrian Belew sitting in.
  7. Here, the leaves are yellow, orange red & brown, the sky is gray: These posts hold memories for us all. Thanks for the intriguing covers.
  8. Any Big Head Todd fans. This is great. What my wife has been jonesing for, thanks for the lead!
  9. Thanks, Dennis!
  10. Perhaps your music-&-beer loving neighbors will join the Carver brigade too. There is much here on offer for learning, enjoy exploring.
  11. Found today at Regeneration Station .
  12. Choying Drolam & Steve Tibbeetts, Selwa. "Selwa is a tempered, minimalist retouching of one woman’s sacred music, backed with light guitar flourishes and intelligently enhanced percussion. At first listen the lightness of being is unavoidable: Drolma’s polyphonic melodies married to Tibbetts’s sweeping orchestral suites provide a sonic landscape for contemplation and quietude."
  13. Edit: Since moving wife has had a hankering for more Derek Trucks Band or similar but that does not show up in the racks of used CD/vinyl. We visit the vinyl/CD stores, the second hand stores, etc,. but no luck and not likely in this neck of the woods– Derek Truck, Warren Haynes, Gov't Mule, etc., are faves in Western NC; Haynes is an Asheville native, his brother is running for city council; there is an annual WH Christmas Jam (27th year in 2015). This double CD gets her nod of approval.
  14. Dennis, my wife is on the lookout for a Todd Mohr release after seeing him solo, playing blues, opening for Rodrigo y Gabriela, this summer. He sited his participation on 100 Years of Robert Johnson (2011; credited to artist Big Head Blues Club) as inspiration. As there are none such solo release as of yet, a BHT&M may be the remedy. Meanwhile...
  15. Another check-out with my new library card–different CDs in Western North Carolina than in the previous residence in Northern Virginia. Loner-t, I found that BS&T vinyl at a used book/music store down here–I really like it, my wife not so much, says she never did.
  16. Checked out from the library:
  17. My wife is on a single-minded mission to add more Derek Trucks to the library.
