Joining in from Ontario, Canada.  A gift of a non-functioning M500 (t?) has brought me here.  The experience of possibly repairing it will hopefully encourage me to stay & contribute.  Cheers

Hello danmartinic, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. ;) There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help.

Reading your post, I'm guessing that you don't know the difference in the M-500 & M-500t. If it has an on/off switch on the front panel, it's most likely a t.

Once you get to "Novice" status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio gear.

In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Thank you for the power switch tip; I just posted a new topic but I guess I don't need the answer lol

It doesn't have the power switch.  M500 it is then

Welcome to the group!  Nice to have another Canuck on the group - there are a bunch of us here.

There are plenty of technical experts, here, who can help you get that M500 back to 100% - myself, excepted.

It's a great amp, and well worth a bit of effort to get going.
