Unusual Vinyl Finds

I have a habit of buying up LP 'lots' - 200 for $25 that sort of thing.

Usually I find a couple keepers that make the purchase worthwhile. Sometime I find some really odd stuff:

This one came from the widow of a German immigrant along with 5 Partridge Family LPs:

Trying to sell "Hitler's Inferno" on fleaBay was an experience....!emwink.gif

I might get a chance to photograph a few more of the gems later tonight.

Anybody else got some freaks of vinyl?

It seems they have a very strict policy about anything relating to that particular fellow and anything he was involved in..
Getting banned was the minor part. The death-threat e-mails were.......interesting.
My personal feeling is ignoring and/or hiding the lessons of history is true folly.

But what do I know!

My collection is pretty mainstream, except my pursuit of Harry covers has led me to some unusual records. This is one of my favorites - Delightfully awful record!

This one is not so uncommon, really. I saw a few copies while shopping this week. But it’s a bizarre record.

This one is kind of cool when you're in the right mood.

Another Gem, although the guitar (synth axe) work is very interesting.

Now this is just plain sick.

I bought a group of jazz LP's, they arrived today, and what do I find on top?

Most of Zappa's covers were pretty good.

Here's one from The Who (good album if you don't have it already):

Leon Russell being cooked by cannibals isn't bad, either.

The album itself kind of grows on you but it was savaged by the critics when it came out.

I just checked out Leon's site and he's got an album with Sir Elton John coming out next month (Oct 2010).
