rwhmason 10 Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Hello all, I’m Rob. I just picked up my first Carver equipment and am excited to get it going. First rattle (literally) out of the box the belt is broken on the SDA 490t and I wanted advice on what belt with though to replace it. 8

The belt size can be found in the file you can download here. approx 0.046" square x 2.4" https://www.turntableneedles.com/Square-Belt-Small-24-Inch_p_218.html I purchased my 390t belt from this vendor. It took the better part of 4 weeks for it to arrive via first class mail from coast to coast. Might want to possibly search out other vendors. This video might be interesting to watch b4 you jump into the guts of the 490 After replacing the belt and getting the 490 working you might want to look into "rolling in" different tubes. What tubes are in it now? And don't forget to play with the Soft EQ (Digital Time Lens) button. You can read about it in the user manual on pages 30 and 31. 3
