RichP714 3,169 Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I know many will have multiple faves, but what helps you keep your blood pressure down?
TNRabbit 371 Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Mahler, followed closely by Claire de Lune by DeBussy.

RichP714 3,169 Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 Enya, Andreas Vollenweider, Jean Michel Jarre
BillD 239 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 My wife likes Enya a lot, but still prefers Klemmer.
Harryfan 20 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I don't need music to relax. My natural state is nearly comatose. BUT IF I DID, THIS WOULD BE IT!!!
Reese 52 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Enya' date=' Andreas Vollenweider, Jean Michel Jarre[/quote'] I like Jean Michel Jarre a LOT -- wish he'd produce more CD's.
snarffydoggy 1 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I'm with harryfan, I very rarely get above the state of comatose, but I think some norah jones
Harryfan 20 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Brian Eno. Steve, what would you recommend as a good starting point?
elgrau 89 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 For simply pure "relaxation" I guess I'd have to say classical music for me. No lyrics to "agitate" you (or think about); no strong, loud, or fast paced notes to get your blood pressure up. Now, most of the time I want all of these things :dd , but if I just want to relax, then classical does it for me...
RichP714 3,169 Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 I said the same thing to a colleague a few years back; he took GREAT offense (IMO a little too much offense, he was a short fuse type of guy). In his mind, classical music was all about passion and intensity; it really pissed him off that I liked to relax to it.
SteveFord 1,131 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Harryfan, Before and After Science Another Green World Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) No Pussyfooting (with Robert Fripp)
