Prior to the last hangover that I had, it was also a couple of decades between the last one to the previous one. I think (hope) I'm good for this lifetime. Feel free to do the research and report back.

Hahaha. Wonder what that is like.

A nice, soothing Sunday morning album, probably would be great for a hangover, but I've not had one of those for a couple of decades. Just a guess.

Thank you all for your responses. Nope, not tech savy in this area........I do appreciate the information on Nelion. I will probably go that way. I wondered around the site a little and will do so some more. I love the Carver and really want it working again. Thanks, Teresa

Welcome Teresa! Enjoy your stay! Plenty of folks here that can offer good advice on how to approach a project such as yours. You definitely can't go wrong with Nelion. I've sent a couple of pieces to Greg and Jenny for repair/restoration. Absolutely top notch work! -
Just listened to it again. That's a keeper.

Thank you everyone! Going to just do it all. Just ordered all the parts. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I only Paid $100 for the stack, so throwing another $300 into it is a no brainer! Thank you again! -

Welcome to the site Teresa @THammond. Glad you found us. Are you technically savvy at all? My intent is to learn if the help you seek is to find a tech, or to get in there and be the tech. We got both kinds of new members here. The safest is to work with Nelion, as already suggested - that requires sending the preamp to them. OTOH, a power switch going bad is something that a good local tech *might* also be able to source and repair for you if that is all your preamp needs. -

Welcome to the site - lots of good reading here in the archives, on the m1.0t amps, and fixing them. -
Hello Teresa, and welcome to thecarversite.com! Glad you found us. You did great with your introduction, and I'm sorry for your loss. I am certainly not a tech, but I would contact @Nahash5150, the head technical guru here. He also has his business website at https://nelionaudio.com/. He can hook you up. They're located in Michigan. I use a Carver 4000t preamp in my main stereo rig, and I love it. I hope you get your pre-amp going again. What other gear do you have? Again, welcome!
