My vinyl storage is simple in my small listening room. I have an under-lit tall table with three 75 record low wooden boxes so over 200 records at my fingertips. I just slide onto my listening chair ottoman to make my record selection. These records are in my current rotation and are in no particular order other than rock, jazz and crooner boxes respectively. On the other side of the room I have a tall 5-shelf adjustable shelf bookcase with another 200 alphabatized records with wooden dividers that look like paint sticks. The poly exterior record sleeves in the three wooden boxes have the opening on the side of the record which is very convenient and easy without removing the record from the record jacket or exterior poly sleeve. The poly record sleeves in the bookcase are open on the top. Not as convenient because the open end needs to be on the top so they stay on when pulling the records in and out so the sleeve/jacket need to be removed to get to the record - certainly not a deal breaker but something to think about.

Not a bad idea. A standard 33 RPM (LP) album jacket measures roughly 12 3/8 inches X 12 3/8 inches (approx. 31.4 × 31.4 cm) so they would fit.

There's currently an HBO documentary about Earth, Wind & Fire: Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial vs. That's the Weight of the World. I've not watched it yet, but it has a 100% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes web site.

I had that type of speaker at a previous house. They were mounted tucked away under a first story eave facing the patio space. Completely out of the way and protected from the sun and weather. Don't remember the brand but they sounded great. Played them for 10 years and they were working fine when we sold the house.

I have seen these B&O A9 speakers in Palm Springs used outside on patios a few times. Apparently there are different grille covers - saw some that were a foliage pattern. It's B&O so they have to be expensive. But they look good.

Ohmigosh, I just now noticed, the Polk Atrium 8s are $185.25 each. I thought that price was for a pair until just a few minutes ago.

The Offspring Gone Away

Hello all, Happy to have joined! Over the past year I've accumulated an amount of carver gear in various states of repair. I've already re-worked a couple of TFM-15's and am looking forward to working on a M1.0t and M1.5t as my free time allows. I've been in and out of audio equipment for a long time, but never delved much into the repairs side of amplifiers until recently. Electronics is a big part of my work, but still learning more about amplifier designs as I go. Plenty of fun hobby work ahead! Glad to meet you all!
