Pretty decent amp. Most are pretty pretty beat up. Strange enclosure. Huge heatsink which can make working on it challenging. The benefit of the heatsink is the ability to disconnect the fan for most home applications (provided it's not too enclosed in a rack). It has the ability to insert some type of signal processor directly in the front end. Resale value is poor, which is the case with most of the pro amps. I used to buy/fix these but the return was not there so I pass on them now. If I was buying a pro amp it would be the PM1.5.

Sorry to hear about your luck! The TG-IV is an excellent processor, I have one myself along with a TG-III. Unfortunately they're getting a bit long in the tooth, not sure I'd spend much time or money having one serviced as there's better more modern options out there. As @BobTFM35 pointed out in his post there are chips inside that can fail with no replacements available so depending on what's wrong with your unit it may not be serviceable anyway or last much longer even if it is.
