  1. There are five if I remember correctly.
  2. This is the Discogs search that I used to find The Rippingtons on vinyl. Curves Ahead shows up occasionally... https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?currency=USD&condition=Near+Mint+(NM+or+M-)&ships_from=United+States&format=Vinyl&q=the+rippingtons+-(assholeparade)
  3. I found a sealed copy of Curves Ahead on vinyl in England.
  4. Timba MM, Outstanding was released on August 27, 2021. "Outstanding’ blends inspired Cuban music with a melange of jazz, samba, flamenco and world music of the Americas. Timba MM is a Montreal-based group of new generation Cuban-style musicians formed in 2012. The aim of ‘Timba MM’ (pronounced ‘Timba emmay emmay’) is to introduce music lovers to new Latin rhythms emerging in the current day that are not yet widely explored outside Cuba’s frontiers. " You can read the rest of the review here... I just discovered this one, and it plays very well with my Martin Logans.
  5. Dolly Parton, Rockstar was released on November 17, 2023. "Parton’s own songs are great and her voice is still strong and characterful, but it often doesn’t suit these rock covers aided by stars from Paul McCartney to Lizzo. Dolly Parton has done it all. She has asserted her primacy over the reactionary forces of Nashville’s music industry, sold 100m records, written umpteen classic songs, broken into Hollywood, opened her own amusement park and had a species of lichen, a Soviet battle tank and a cloned sheep named in her honour. It’s a delightful, fully deserved state of affairs, but it comes with a problem attached: what do you do next? Her 49th solo album attempts to answer this question. Rockstar came about when Parton was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She first declined to be inducted, saying she was a country artist, then reconsidered, announcing she would record a rock album to justify her inclusion." You can read the rest of the review here... For me, this album is a letdown. Don't get me wrong, Dolly Parton is an incredibly talented performer, whether it be singing, acting, or folksy humor. I just like her country albums much more, and I have to agree with the reviewer's first sentence.

  8. MOFI sent me a few emails about my backorder telling me one of their steps is to convert the master to DSD somewhere in the process, and asking me if I still wanted the album. I don't recall the complete process, but as good as most of those albums sound to me, I don't care if they used 2 tin cans and a string in the process.
  9. Well engineered SACDs through my oppo 105, 4000t, The Greg, Dennis, & Bruce tube buffer, an M500t mkII, and my Martin Logan's sounds incredible. MOFI 1Step 45s through an Ortofon 2M black, Pioneer PL 530, 4000t, M500t mkII, and my Martin Logan's sounds even better, but it's not a fair comparison. I have cryo-engineered 1" thick cables between the turntable and the 4000t. The oppo only has 0.75" XLR to RCA running to the 4000t. /just kidding For my ears, and my rig, it all depends on the quality of the recording.
  10. Actually, it's tha number of positive reactions, and the magic number is 6. Thank yous, that rocks, and love this count as positives.
  11. Hello Dave, and welcome to thecarversite.com. We're glad you're hear. There is a lot of information here, much technical know how, and a pretty good bunch of folks that are happy to help. Once you get to Novice status, you'll be able to post pics. Your post editor will change and show you the options. It's fairly straightforward, but if you have problems, we'll be happy to help. The best place to post system pics is in the Members Systems area. I look forward to seeing them edit: I saw your post about the dead tuner channel. That thread would be appropriate to post pics in if the pics are relevant to that thread. In the meantime, kick your shoes off, turn up the music, and welcome aboard.

Thank you! Bonzoro refurbed, updated, vastly improved my 4000t, and that faceplate was one of the first available. I think RK sells them on ebay now. I love my Martin Logans, and I'd love to hear your ESLs someday. I have a pair of NHT 3.3s that are incredible too.
  13. Mammoth WVH, Mammoth II (Wolfgang Van Halen) was released on August 4, 2023. "On his second album as Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang Van Halen once again goes the one-man-band route, writing and performing all the songs. Mammoth II doesn't move far from the basic outline of 2021's self-titled debut, checking off boxes in the starting-gun riffs, easily digestible lyrics and impassioned vocals categories. There's not a lot of originality here, but there isn't much to dislike either. As far as torch-carrying goes, Van Halen does the family name proud." You can read the rest of the review here...
  14. Joanne Shaw Taylor, Nobody's Fool was released on October 28, 2022. "Nobody’s Fool is Joanne Shaw Taylor’s 10th album since 2009’s White Sugar. The album was produced by the team of Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith and is released digitally on October 28th on Keeping the Blues Alive Records. It will also be released in CD form in the UK in November and released worldwide on vinyl in December. Prior to the album’s debut, two singles from it were released. The first was “Fade Away” and the second was the title song “Nobody’s Fool.”" You can read the rest of the review here... I know this one is almost a year old, but I just discovered it, and when I heard this title track and the album's produced by Joe Bonamassa, on his label, and with him playing on Won't Get Fooled Again... Yeah, it just belongs.

You won't go wrong with either of those preamps. I have a BillD modified C-1 and a Bonzoro modded 4000t. Either one is the right choice. 19. Gov't Mule, Peace... Like A River was released on June 13, 2023. "...the album never gets lost in pointless pyrotechnics or overstays its welcome. The instrumental excursions are tightly-focused and serve the songs, covering everything from psychedelia and riff-driven blues rock to funk and soul with concise finesse. With Heavy Load Blues being my favorite album of 2021, my expectations for Peace…Like A River were quite high. To merely say that they have been met would be an understatement. Boasting sharp songwriting, tight arrangements, and stellar musicianship, Peace…Like A River is excellent and ranks among Gov’t Mule’s best works. Highly recommended." 20. Nils Lofgren, Mountains was released on July 21, 2023. "The latest, Mountains, doesn't stray far from his musical patterns: loosely wound roots rock laced with the folk, blues and R&B traditions of the '60s. Lofgren is a product of his generation, and at 72 he's not throwing too many curves against those expectations. Old friends Young and Starr drop by, and so do David Crosby (who died in January) and jazz great Ron Carter, providing a backdrop for songs about political upheaval, love connections and another late rock 'n' roll icon, Charlie Watts." You can read the rest of the review here... For Barry...
  21. Greta Van Fleet, Starcatcher was released on July 21, 2023. "THERE’S NO WAY around it, so just let’s say it: On album number three, Greta Van Fleet still want to get the Led out. Despite being praised or damned for its fealty to the hammering of certain gods, the Michigan band is still not remotely backing down from its mission. The vaguely Celtic acoustic intro to “Meeting the Master,” the misty-mountain hopping in “Wasted All Your Life,” the Bonham big-bottom wallop that kicks off “Sacred the Thread,” the howling Plantesque vault in singer Josh Kiszka’s delivery: It’s simply impossible to listen to Starcatcher and, as with all their previous work, not think you’ve stumbled upon a vault of outtakes from Led Zeppelin and some of their peers." 22. Mark, I see nothing wrong with it, but if you want it hidden, I can make it happen.

That's a very good price on the TFM45, and there are several here that praise them. That's an amp that's on my want list, but I have a few unused amps as it is... The M200t is a nice amp. I have one powering my backyard setup. The M500t is my favorite amp, and I have the mkII version powering my 2 channel setup. I'm sure you'll be pleased.
