Thats partly because the $billions in subsidies (your tax dollars) that the post office gets are not applied to international shipments. & I can see that. Our government decided to end all tax money going to CanPost, the result was a huge jump in prices along with major cuts in service.

Maybe USPS thinks the Canucks celebrate Christmas in October - like Thanksgiving, so they have all kinds of time!

No, I think damn CanadaPost and their customs brothers is legit. Since the announcement that CanPost is phasing out home delivery, I've had local mail like my utility bill show up 3 weeks after it was sent. The costs to send stuff across the border has also gotten insane. I had shipped amps into the US for less than $35 not so long ago, now the same amp is in excess of $100.

Mink oil is an amazingtm substance. My personal (unsubstantiated) theory is that armor-all was an attempt to duplicate it with industrial chemicals - that failed.

I have a 24 year old pair of hiking boots that are still in great shape - mink oil every year on the leather... But one of the cat's always wants to pee on them.

Maybe you shoulda 'donated' a nad. Lost one at the age of 17 in a motorcycle accident - still have a full head of hair at 51, (4 kids in the interim as well). And to get the thread back on topic:
