    VinylMe

Details are sketchy (aka none) Any idea of costs? Looks like a new twist on the Columbia House plan. I'd like to know more too......
  2. True. Most of us are married and never heard of such things! (Insert BullShyter smiley here)
  3. Balok, I know you are new to our planet, but that definition is from the "Man's Dictionary" not the "Woman's Dictionary".
  4. Rodgers was slow to get into the groove.
  5. Shoot! Lookong at the pic, I thought it might be 'The Old Street Boys".
  6. Not an album, but imagine this 'unplugged' - without the orchestral backing...guitar and vocal only....
  7. Or somebody needs to find a new place to hide.....
  8. Hi! I assume you've been warned which of us to ignore/avoid? (Mostly me and Gene..... ) Welcome aboard!

  14. We were talkin' about LP's right? Not the vinyl dominatrix?
  15. Well, not always!
  16. Mastering for vinyl - back when it was an artform - properly done, would bring all the desired information of the recording out, based on the dynamic limitations of the medium. When CD's first arrived, the sound mastering was often 'engineered' to maximize the available dynamic range and not the pleasing qualities of the music. A lot of those older CD's are nasty. People often forget that recorded music is not live music, and never will be. The true genius in the mastering process to to present the music in such a way that the listener will 'forget' they are listening to a simulation of the real thing and immerse themselves in enjoying the message and not the medium.

  18. The source recording and final mastering have great consequence on the perceived sound quality of the final product.
