    Got a real fondness for John Klemmer. In my younger days, I had a R2R and had made this girlfriend-getting tape. I had a couple guys for roommates and if one of us was playing that tape, heavily laden with John Klemmer tunes, it meant that one of the guys was in the process of going through the prelims with a girl on the couch and the etiquette was to quietly go to your room and not walk into the common areas. John Klemmer served us well.

    I have been to Concerts by the Sea in Redondo Beach on the pier a long time ago. Good jazz club. Got damaged in the later '80's by a storm and it was gone. Need more jazz clubs like that.

    Was in my local stereo shop this afternoon and two types of Franco Serbin speakers caught my eye. Especially the "string" grilles. They were beautifully crafted and sounded very natural, especially vocals. I guess Franco started Sonus Faber many years ago and has been making these.

    Just saw John Foggerty this summer with his two sons joining him onstage. He sounded great and his sons are really accomplished guitar players. Before he played, his son's band played, kind of a psycho rock sound.

    That is so funny, a couple months ago I Ubered down to my wife's office to join her to attend an event that night and end up with one car going home. A white Tesla picked me up with white interior, white headliner, all white. The driver was playing this kind of music. I remember saying to myself "this is what time travel must look and sound like".
