  1. Welcome!!!!
  2. A great choice! Go for it!!!
  3. Yep! That's what is posted. They made a line of speakers evidently. I'll update with a pic after I get off the deck!!!
  4. There is a little info on audio karma about them. Also a link to an ad. Appear to have some decent tweeters in them.
  5. Magnum Opus maybe???
  6. The CT-17 is a great pre for casual use but no where near the sound quality of the Lightstar direct. I run a CT-17 myself in my bedroom system and enjoy having the remote function.
  7. Nice to meet you Perry! Seems like we have a good bit in common. I'm a fan of the Phase Linear's also.I would type more but the fn space bar doesn't work...
  8. Post some pics of those beauties!!!
  9. At his age EVERYBODY is seeing the effects of aging.....
  10. Interesting, I have been watching this ad. As I searched the web for more info I found at one point stores were blowing these out at the end of its model life. I think these would be perfect for my nine channel home theater. The sale price was half of that listing. I am interested what people know about it. Itch My friend runs one in his 2 channel system and uses the third channel for a sub. As with all the A series amps, great sound and powerful, built like a tank and a heavy beast. He swears by them and has collected around 3 or 4. RobertR also runs these in his configurations. 250/channel at 8 ohms.

Watershed 1 is a one bedroom unit ( just in case you didn't know). Plenty of floor space though.
  13. I have ran the 901's and clipped a TFM-75 into them. They can get loud. My opinion...the first series was the best and after series 2 they became non acoustic suspension and required foaming as yours did. I tried the Bose equalizer but never heard much of a difference. Bought an ADC and immediately they took a turn for the better. Use a standard eq on them, run the highs and lows up. add a good sub and go for it! Still have 3 sets back in storage for when I get tired of ribbons...LOL!!!!!!!!

Sad to hear today, one hell of a talent. RIP.
  15. I thought about buying those at one time. Never heard a set but heard they are more suited to surround sound home theater work. I'd look for a set of AL3's or if you are into the Polk sound, I bought a set of Polk Monitor 10's that sound really big for their size. The ones above these , in the $400-$700 range sound really good, but IMHO nothing sounds like ribbons.
  16. Thanks!!!
  17. Lot's of welcomes for you aslan7!!! Your journey is only beginning.....
  18. Thanks! Guy want a bill.....
  19. What they worth????
