AJ, I thought about that, too. A more "mature" shirt of some kind. I'll leave it up to the gang. Maybe I can run a poll here on the site to get the design input. I'll put something together. As an aside, Jim had made some t-shirts back when he was still running the Carver business. I bought a couple and wore one to Carverfest 2 years ago and one to Axpona. Nice shirts. Lots of people wondered where I got them. I think there'd be a demand for Carver t-shirts even outside of Carverfest- here on this site and the FB site. Not a huge demand. And, I'm not really wanting to get into the t-shirt making business. But, maybe we could make up a batch and sell them at a little profit which would help finance the site? Just an idea.

Understood and agreed, Ed. I can make simpler versions. And, if you want, I can be in charge of the overall T-shirt coordination, too. I have some time available this summer and can easily manage it. I would need to get more input on the design, though. I certainly don't have the history that you all have. I'd want to make sure the Carverfest founders and usual attendees can relate to the design.

I'll help. I can propose artwork/design for the t-shirt. Here's what I got using ChatGPT for 5 minutes (not a bad start, would look good on a black colored shirt, kind of like a band concert T ).... I'm open to suggestions.

Hi Ed, Sorry I didn't make it last year. I'll be there this year. Put me down for a Treehouse if any are still available. I've got a new gig starting in the fall (college professor!) So, I can only be there for the final weekend, similar to what I've done in the past. So, count on me for the 17th through 20th.

Welcome back to Carver land! Great gear! And, yes, please finish your bi-amping story. That's always good fodder for discussion :).

From Wiim, you can access the Amazon music app directly. I just click "browse" on the Wiim App on my phone and it brings up a list of streaming services, with Amazon Music on top. Click on it and it takes you right to the Amazon music app and you'd interface with that as you would normally from within the Wiim app (you may have to log in to Amazon music first). I did this with my Qobuz streaming app. It works great. I can also use the Qobuz app directly now, and just tell it to "output" to the Wiim. I probably use this method most often because of all the stored playlists I have in Qobuz and how familiar I am with the queueing , etc.

if you're into 'art' and looks versus sound quality... here's an interesting CD player I just saw advertise....It's CD playing picture frame! https://www.amazon.com/COOLGEEK-Transparent-Bluetooth-Removable-Wall-Mount/dp/B0FT3CK5SY?th=1

Recently watched the Devo documentary on Netflix. They talk about their remake of this song and how they had to get Mick Jagger's approval before they could record it. It's a great little snippet of history. I found a version of the story on a youtube clip (The image of Mick dancing like he does to Devo's version of this song.... would love to have seen that) :

I'm interested to know what you don't like about Discogs. I actually find it rather useful. On the "vibe coding".... you are exactly right. People think AI is a free ride. Nope. At best it can save you some time and it can act like an expedited "help" function, as you say. But, you cannot rely on AI without being able to critically challenge it. I do a lot of coding (I use Claude, mostly, not ChatGPT). It can save you some time in writing bulk code, up front. But, from there, it's best to tweak it and debug the code yourself. The main thing I've found is that AI does not think logically when making code edits. If you tell it to change just one feature of the code, you cannot trust that it will change ONLY that feature...it will hallucinate and create a change somewhere else for an unknown reason. It's very maddening when trying to debug. It's like trying to hit a moving target.

I've streamed several different ways. I built myself a streamer of out of a Raspberry Pi connected to a DAC chip that sat on top of it. It actually worked pretty well. I was able to run Qobuz through Volumio and control it with my iPhone. But, keeping up with the software updates, etc, was challenging. I was happy I had built my own inexpensive streamer, but I didn't consider how much effort it would be to maintain the coding side of things. So, I moved on to streaming from my PC which was ok... but clumsy. So, now I'm using an iPad with a data connection feeding a Schiit DAC. And, since Qobuz now let's you control anything on your network with another gadget, I can sit my iPad on top of my stack and use my iPhone to control it from my listening chair. Actually makes for a nice visual and a nice sound. Having said all that, I've asked Santa Clause for Wiim Ultra streamer for Christmas. Fingers crossed!

Welcome to the Carver Site! Nice set of gear you have there! I have a C1 and m1.5t's myself. Love the combo. Post pics when you are able to do so! -
Pretty cool, actually. I usually have some kind of EQ hooked up through that C1 external processor loop, though I rarely do any "EQ'ing". I generally keep things as flat as possible... (else I start second guessing myself and what I'm actually hearing, then I get pulled down a rabbit hole and spend hours trying to optimize). But, I like to know I have the EQ capability if I need it. And, as I have noted several times on this site, I do like to watch the bouncing lights :). Does the Wiim work as an analyzer, too?....... ie, can you optimize EQ settings for the room using a placed microphone, etc?
