  1. That would be a nice system for ANY room @4RUNNER , but I would be remiss if I didn't bug you for photos. Yep, and you need a system in every room.... I put this together for my home office out of "spares" - M-200t/TX-2/C-2/DTL-50. (Speakers are vintage Design Acoustics DA-30 sub/sat.)
  2. Howdy trog69 and welcome to the forum. Nice to have you onboard. You came to the right place for all things Carver! Please tell us more about yourself, your audio journey and your taste in music. We love photos so please start a thread in Member's Systems and post some so we don't have to beg you.
  3. Wish I could help LT but I'm not that familiar with Sunfire gear.
  4. Howdy @narkotic and welcome to the forum. Nice to have you on board. Bob designed a mod for Sunfire amps specifically for the Scintilla: The complete thread is HERE.
  5. I assumed from your original post that it was (would be) an active sub. Passive subs and sub/sat system are intended to be driven directly by an amp. The Design Acoustic DA-30's (a DA-20LF sub with 2 DA-10 satellites) I bought in the late 70's and now use in my shop are set up that way (full range speaker-level signal to the sub, barrier strip outputs to the satellites. They aren't earth-shakers but sound excellent at reasonable listening levels.

  7. On the downside, the amp will be wasting power producing a full range output, and the noise level will be higher. I only use a speaker level signal as a last resort. IMHO you are better off twinning your pre outs to drive the sub.
  8. Charles "The Burner" Earland - organ Gary Chandler - trumpet Grover Washington Jr. - tenor saxophone Maynard Parker - guitar Jesse Kilpatrick - drums Buddy Caldwell - congas
  9. Howdy @TwinsTimand welcome to the forum. Nice to have you on board. Please tell us more about yourself and post some photos of your toys so we don't have to beg you for them.
  10. Howdy PhaseTheMusic and welcome to the forum. Congrats on making your 1st post. The Carver subs are designed for use in a very small, sealed box so I suspect they wouldn't work well loading a horn. But don't let that stop you from trying.
  11. To see what is in your photo album go to your profile and click on the Albums tab.
  12. The link is visible and clicking on it opens the video in a new window. Apparently you can't embed it like you can a YouTube video (at least not with the link in that format).
  13. That's a unique look Steve but too reminiscent of what I see in the mirror after I drink. You might want to try an RGB LED on the next one so you can change the color to match your mood.
  14. Congrats on the new (to you) addition Will. It's been 30 years since I heard a pair but I remember being very impressed.

    Happy New Year

Best wishes for a happy, healthy 2018!
  16. I've read comments from the analog or bust crowd calling HD Vinyl an abomination because the topographical mapping and laser inscription processing will be done in the digital domain.
