  1. Hello from Ellicott City MD. I bought my first Carver equipment (receiver) in the early 1980’s. I quickly upgraded to separates., then upgraded to M500 for more power. My equipment is all original and never serviced. In 1980 I also purchased a pair of Polk RTA 12 speakers. I understand these are not perfect for the purist, but they still sound great to me and also are original and have never been serviced. Thanks for allowing me to join. I look forward to being an active participant. CARVER 1980

  2. Hi everyone. I'm a music lover who recently acquired a Carver C1 and enjoying it's features. Looking forward to exploring the world of possibilities for modding it learning more about audio gear. Thanks for having me!

  3. Mark Knopfler, One Deep River was released on April 12, 2024. "One Deep River finds Knopfler at the ripe old age of seventy-four, and having not released a new record in six years – the longest gap between albums in quite a while. For the most part, though, this latest effort doesn’t feel like much of a divergence from the singer-songwriter’s norm. It continues his recent slide into more and more mellow musical territory - even vaguely high-energy tracks like the jaunty opener “Two Pairs Of Hands” and the bluesy “Scavengers Yard” are quite chill, while still proving positively energetic compared to the dozing country-rock of “Smart Money” or the utterly subdued “Black Tie Jobs” and “This One’s Not Going To End Well”. 4. Blue Oyster Cult, Ghost Stories was released on April 12, 2024. "With 15 studio albums prior to the release of the interesting and new Ghost Stories, BÖC truly have no reason to provide us with new music, so they didn’t. What I mean by that is that Ghost Stories is less an album and more of a collection of forgotten pre-production tracks from 1977-1984 (Spectres through The Revölution by Night) as well as another cover from 2016. In other words, this is new old music and not new new music." You can read the rest of the review here...

  5. Note the old school distortion analyzer on Bob's bench in the picture of him holding the M400 in one hand. Here is Bob's analyzer that is at the factory today. It looks about the same, although Carver Corp and Sunfire had many I'm sure. He knows these tools extremely well. The scope and voltmeter with the blue tape are Bob's. He has gear at his lab in Snohomish and gear at the factory in Illinois. Either location he is at, the gear he is super proficient with is on hand.
