  5. Ahhh, Darth @AndrewJohn, another is converted to the Dark Side. (We have cookies.)
  6. Hi Thom, and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. I moved your post from the Website Support forum to The Welcome Shop. Website Support is for reporting issues with the site. C-19's pop up from time to time on ebay, Audiogon, and Audiomart. You might set up some searches on each of those site, and turn on notifications so that you know when one pops up. Have you considered the BillD mod for your C-1? That modification raises a C-1 to a level playing field with preamps costing 5x or more the price. Whatever you decide to do, welcome aboard!
  7. Hi RudyB and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us! There are several accomplished professionals and talented hobbyists that frequent this site, and hopefully one or more of them can help you out with your problems. Feel free to start a repair thread in one of the proper forums, ask for advice, share your experiences... Once you get to Novice status, you'll be able to post pictures of your experiences. You'll also be able to post pics of your system in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of of all kinds of stereo and home theater gear. Welcome to C!
  8. I don't think so. The place to introduce yourself is "The Welcome Shop" https://thecarversite.com/forum/142-the-welcome-shop-please-read-first/ I hope that helps.
  9. Heh, heh, heh. Your journey is just beginning Padawan, but I'm glad that you're happy for now. Welcome aboard StevenP! Glad you found us. That Sunfire amp and big Polks are very popular here. Once you get to Novice status, you'll be able to post pics, and we all love pics of all kinds of audio and home theater gear. As Andrew mentioned, the proper place is in the Member's Systems area, and it's here: https://thecarversite.com/forum/20-members-systems/
  10. I suggest Blue Dream for the buzz fix unless you're referring to the ribbons buzzing, In that case, I suggest contacting @sea. He's the goto guy on Carver ribbons speakers.
  11. Bill Frisell, Blues Dream (album)
  12. Pink Floyd, The Division Bell DTS 5.1 (album) I've changed some things in my HT. I'm now using 2 60" ribbons from Carver Platinum MKIV's for my center channel, and a new SVS SB3000 sub. Once I recover from my home owners insurance raping, I'll get another SVS SB3000. Not to go on a rant here, but a 20% increase in one year on my home owners insurance seems non-consensual. I've not had a claim in 20 years, and I'll probably wake up with morning sickness, too. Bastaditches.
  13. Henrik Freischlader, Blues for Gary (album)
  14. Bill Frisell, Guitar in the Space Age (album)
  15. I've seen them live at least 5 times. Tres Hombres, Fandango, Tejas, Eliminator, and Recycler tours that I specifically recall. There may have been another. That period of my life is a bit smokey, err, hazy. It's been almost 30 years since I saw them. I saw the Eliminator tour at the University of Arkansas field house, and it was so loud that the back lights were falling off the scaffolding. One roadie climbed up to try to tighten them up, and he fell off. The band never noticed, but the audience sure did.
  16. There are 4 or 5 flavors of TGP in our manuals archive, and I saw no mention of a remote in any of them. The link in my previous post to a TGP III, and it has instructions for the remote in that manual. Sorry that I can't be of more help...
  17. Do you have a model number for it? Some places to look would be the back side of the battery cover, underneath the batteries, and all over the outer casing. If your remote is for a TGP III, I found a manual online here. It's for the processor, but it has a section on the remote. https://corebrands-resources.s3.amazonaws.com/products/Sunfire/Discontinued/Theater-Grand-III-Processor-Manual-RevC.pdf If your remote is for a different model, have you checked our archives here? https://thecarversite.com/carvermanuals/
  18. Hi Lynn68 and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad to have you onboard. Sunfire, TFM, and Polk are all popular here. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio/home theater gear.

  21. Hello OldSchool74 and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. We have the owners and service manuals for the Phase Linear 4000 and 4000 Series II preamps. You can find them here: PL 4000 owners manual: https://thecarversite.com/manuals/PhaseLinearmandir/Phase Linear 4000 Preamplifier Owner Manual.pdf PL4000 service manual: https://thecarversite.com/manuals/PhaseLinearmandir/Phase Linear 4000 Preamplifier Service Manual.pdf PL 4000 Series II owners manual: https://thecarversite.com/manuals/PhaseLinearmandir/phase linear 4000 Series II Preamplifier Owner Manual.pdf PL 4000 Series II service manual: https://thecarversite.com/manuals/PhaseLinearmandir/Phase Linear 4000 Series II Preamplifier Service Manual.pdf All of our archived manuals can found from the top of any page on the site by clicking or tapping Manuals and Specsheets on the navigation bar at the top of the page. This will bring up a table that resembles an Excel worksheet. Along the bottom of the worksheet are the respective Carver brands that we have documentation for. Clicking or tapping on the brand will take you to our archives for that brand. I hope that helps, and welcome aboard.
  22. Hi Sean and welcome aboard. I moved your post from Website support to The Welcome Shop. No worries, easy fix. Website support is for website issues. We may have some documentation available for your Sunfire gear. On the top menu bar, click (or tap) Manuals and Specsheets. That should take you to a table that kinda resembles an Excel worksheet. On the bottom of the table, click or tap on Sunfire, and look for your models. If you're stumped or need help, you can start a topic here for the pre: https://thecarversite.com/forum/92-sunfire-preamps/ and here for the amp: https://thecarversite.com/forum/93-sunfire-amps/ You can also search those forums (highly recommended) because someone may have had the same problems, and the fix is posted. I hope that helps, and again, welcome!
  23. Hello waitband and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us. I'm about 3 hours northeast of you on I44, and we just had our annual "Birthplace of Route 66" festival a last month. Tulsa Time--GREAT song, covered a lot, but my two favorites are by Tulsa's own JJ Cale and Eric Clapton. Once you get to Novice status, please consider uploading some pics of your gear in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of audio/home theater gear.
  24. The first week of fall has me thinking about, well here's a hint: The Rippingtons, Curves Ahead Though if I was a guitar player, I'd be thinking wireless on the slopes.
  25. Hi Greg and welcome to thecarversite.com. Glad you found us! Once you get to Novice status, please consider posting some pics of you system in the Members Systems area. We all like pics of all kinds of stereo and home theater gear.
