  1. Ah yes. It looks like a few of us fell into the trap. Dang!
  2. And naturally, it sounds excellent. I'm streaming it via Tidal through the Oppo 105D. That BASS DRUM THO!!!!
  3. This is much better...
  4. And it sucks!...
  5. Good morning and welcome, Neptuneslair! You're making a good choice in going with some Carver equipment to play through your JBL L150's. They're a great match! My very first encounter with Carver and JBL was with my oldest brother who just came back home from the Army (and which ultimately started my journey into hifi and music at the ripe ole' age of 9). He came back from Germany with a Carver C-1 preamp, TX-11 tuner, an M-400t (small cube amp) and a pair of JBL L112's, which are the little brother to your L150's, just the bookshelf version without the passive radiator. That very system lit a fire in my heart that still burns mighty strong today, and that was over 30 years ago! BTW, I just started acquiring my Carver gear within the past few months. Before this, I tried every brand of gear under the sun. Don't ask me why I only now started my OCCD of Carver gear. It makes no sense to me either. LOL
  6. Phil, welcome to the madness! You're gonna love it here. These guys quickly become family! And... The only "Dent" I can think of is the one from Gotham City...
  7. +1 Mofo... Urr, I mean... Mofi is my choice of sleeves as well.

  9. The cover on the left is the original cover, and it's the one I have. I've never seen the other cover before (the one on the right).
  10. Security system or not, I wouldn't let trash like that in my place... Or the speakers.
  11. In other words, CRAP! Don't look at them, don't touch them, DON'T give any money for them. Best to just move on. Avoid them at all cost!
  12. That's just stupid pricing. Sure, it's a great album, but it's not worth $200 much less $400+. I don't have that album on vinyl, but I do have several duplicates of original pressings and on heavy vinyl. 90% of the time, the original "thin" vinyl sounds better! I no longer hunt down heavy vinyl copies as they're just not worth it, likewise with "remastered" copies. As an example, the remastered heavy version of Pink Floyd DSOM is a total waste. My original pressing is 100 times better!
  13. Yes... Yes, I am bringing this thread back from the dead. Why? Well, because we all watch movies at some point, and we listen to them through our Carver gear, so there it is. Good enough reason for me. Anyway, I watched two tonight. The first one... Then the second one... I thought both movies were great. I don't care what most people think, and I certainly don't care what any movie critic thinks. I like what I like and that's all that matters. I just had four solid hours of enjoyment as far as I'm concerned.
