    Cleaning Vinyl

Recently I picked up a Groovemaster off ebay for covering the label while I clean it with soap and distilled water using a fine paint brush. Am thinking about possibly getting a machine if my method of cleaning LP's is not kosher. What are you guys currently using to clean your vinyl?
  2. Band On The Run Stuck inside these four walls, sent inside forever, Never seeing no one nice again like you, Mama you, mama you. If I ever get out of here, Thought of giving it all away To a registered charity. All I need is a pint a day If I ever get out of here. Well, the rain exploded with a mighty crash as we fell into the sun, And the first one said to the second one there I hope you're having fun. Band on the run, band on the run. And the jailer man and sailor sam were searching every one For the band on the run, band on the run, band on the run, band on the run Well, the undertaker drew a heavy sigh seeing no one else had come, And a bell was ringing in the village square for the rabbits on the run. Band on the run, band on the run. And the jailer man and sailor sam, were searching every one For the band on the run, band on the run, band on the run, band on the run Well, the night was falling as the desert world began to settle down. In the town they're searching for us every where, but we never w I'll be found. Band on the run, band on the run And the county judge, who held a grudge Will search for evermore For the band on the run, band on the run, band on the run, band on the run
  3. LOL! Said, people worry I can't keep you satisfied. Let me tell you baby, you ain't nothin but a two-bit, no-good jive.
  4. "Comfortably Numb" Hello, Is there anybody in there Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone at home Come on now I hear you're feeling down I can ease your pain And get you on your feet again Relax I'll need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more aaaaaaaah! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good That'll keep you going through the show Come on it's time to go. There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone And I have become Comfortably numb.
  5. You have to go into the menu settings on the Sunfire, turn the sub in the menu settings ON. If the sub is on you need to check the sub dB levels on the Sunfire. To help us out here a little, how exactly do you have your Denon connected to the Sunfire through what terminals?
  6. Sorry but I'm lost....lets take it one step at a time. If your speakers are biamped and working, lets remove that from the question. You have a sub that you want to incorporate into your Sunfire Theatre Grand (Preamp not amp, right?) but you some how have a Denon home theatre amp system connected in there somewhere trying to control your Polk sub? Am I hearing you right?
  7. I have the Signature Series 12" sub "non EQ version" couldn't be more happy with Sunfire on this one.
  8. Since this is about first album bought...not given, borrowed or mysteriously inherited... My first album bought would be Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise? by The Art of noise in late 84, think I was 10 years old then.

    Headphones

    +1
  10. Those would most certainly send your pocketbook into the Abyss.
  11. LOL! Have the 9500ix in the Z71 and the 9500ci in the Eldorado. The ci has saved my ass multiple times in the last 3 years.
  12. The Polydome driver diaphragm is the same part # on both and should sound the same. Differences are part # for assembled unit, newer model has a dome wire mesh on the inside so polydome can't accidentlly be pushed in. Also if you look at your polygraph driver mounting plate, corners are not flat on the older style polydome plate.
  13. Right. Did you just replace the dome with the old magnet housing and face plate? Or did you just put the .1 driver in the cabinet?
  14. If you ever score a pair of polydome's from the .1 Kappa series that's in stellar condition, you can swap the diphragm assembly from the new one and put it in the old one "same part #". I did that a few months back, pretty easy to do.
  15. Thanks Perry. LOL.....are you talking Bose Wave Guide?
  16. I have 10 total drivers in the attic some in better shape than others all re foamed. I'm thinking I should probably instant Karma some of them for a DIYer project. What do you think?
  17. Doobie Brothers "Rockin Down The Highway" comes to mind. For the most part I drive pretty fast as it is no mater what kind of jams are playing. Do try listening to calming music sometimes while I drive so ill chill out.
  18. The new drivers showed up today. They are super mint with the proper dust caps. Prepped this morning before the drivers showed up. These are the mismatch set I had in there before. The non ported ones were the original, the ported ones were from the Beta, IRS series. New ones installed. all 4 drivers each measured 3.5 ohms, right on the money.
  19. you have discovered one of my many weaknesses and the lackadaisical use of spell check Kinda like the difference between supressing and suppressing I suppose...... LOL! Calling the kettle black says the pot.
  20. Nice job Dano. Did you just spray the cabinets with urethane coating?
  21. Tell me about it. I know Michael Marks would have stuck me $500 a woofer seeing since he's selling one servo control woofer for $900.00.
  22. So I got a call 20 mins ago letting me know the 4 12" drivers are on the way with original Infinity dustcaps installed with new foam. Should be here Fri, will post pictures.
  23. Yes sir, apparently he also used to supply the woofers to Infinity from California besides the control woofers. Was a real nice older gentleman to talk to, good to have reliable contacts with old equipment.
  24. Turns out the seller Steve Lee used to install the servos for Infinity for 15 years. He wanted me to call him today because he had some concerns on the foam surrounds for the speakers. Seeing since they are 20 + years old he says they are in great shape but he doesn't feel comfortable selling those to me and said he wanted to refund my $ until he was done refoaming them. I told him no, just refoam them with new dust caps and we are good. He said it would take him a week hes got other projects going on at the time and was real appreciative that i was understanding. Heres his site in case anyones interested http://www.proaudiovideoplus.com/
  25. Those drivers are going in the 9's as soon as they get here. The old ones are getting boxed up to go in the attic.
