  1. It didn't take long on this ebay listing to buy a rare new set of Infinity 12" drivers (ordered 4). These are the #902-3054A woofers which most of the time I see the same part # without the A being listed on ebay. These are the correct drivers for my Kappa's and I can't tell you all how stoked I am on stumbling across them. Seller is going to install dust caps for me as well.
  2. Thanks. Trial and error. Only 4 subs though. 2 Martin Logans up front, Infinity sub behind the sectional and Sunfire Signature off to the side in back of room. The Back subs are more for movies when I want to bring the house down. But everything is tuned perfectly for that room. The wife did say our living room sounds better when watching movies than the theatres, I agree.

    Watchmen

Damn it Rich, I already saw that movie. I thought the video was a Prequel or a # 2 of a new Watchmen.
  4. And the crossover networks he designed for the IRS, BETA, GAMMA and KAPPA speakers should not be open for interpretation. It kills me when I see people redesigning the crossovers on these speakers when they are not using the proper procedures to prove their redesign was better than the original.
  5. Arnie's take on speaker design from 2004.
  6. LOL! Had my buddy add another box outside for electrical last year. I used up the spares on the original for 3 different 230v outlets in the garage. Made my drops in the living room from the 2nd box with room to spare.
  7. One of these days you may get your hands on a pair of Silver 7t's or 9's for those Kappa's....then all hell is gonna break loose!
  8. Welcome! You've got quite a collection there.
  9. Welcome Resident! Pull up a chair and hang around for awhile.
  10. John Lennon "Imagine" Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today... Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one
  11. True, but to the artists I'm sure some appreciate the acknowledgement.
  12. Set your DVR's for Saturday, May 18th @ 9:00 p.m. YES!!! After all these years RUSH will finally be inducted! 40+ years of rocking and someone in the HOF finally woke up? WTF... Better late than never I guess. PRESENTERS AND PERFORMERS: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has announced additional presenters and performers for the 28th Annual Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Four of this year’s inductees — Heart, Randy Newman, Public Enemy and Rush — are confirmed to perform at the event, which will also honor Albert King and Donna Summer; as well as Lou Adler and Quincy Jones, this year’s recipients of the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement. The star-studded event will feature appearances by Usher, who will perform for Quincy Jones; Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains, who will perform with Heart; Spike Lee and Harry Belafonte, who will pay tribute to Public Enemy; Carole King, who will perform for Lou Adler; Chris Cornell, who will induct Heart; comedy legends Cheech & Chong, who will present Adler with his award; and Jackson Browne and John Fogerty, who will perform with Randy Newman. John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. will perform for Albert King, with Mayer giving the induction speech; 1998 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Don Henley will induct Randy Newman; Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will perform in honor of Donna Summer; and Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters will present Rush.
  13. Normally have to write myself notes on post it's that are attached to the top of my day planer. You know get gas, get cigarettes, pick up water those kinds of things. It's actually stupid how busy I am in the morning that if I don't leave myself a note I will forget. And yes sometimes I forget to remind myself.
  14. Welcome aboard bored184.
  15. Nice! Noticed the left channel was out gunning the right channel? Or was that camera angle playing tricks on my eyes?
  16. Upload it to you tube then coppy the tag.
  17. Is it me? I don't see a video Mark.
  18. Yeah I had a pair of Kappa 8's in high school powered by 1 M-4.0t. The bass response on the original series was optimal when the speakers were 3 to 4 ft from the wall. I did run a test on them upstairs in the living room at my parents house. The bass response was way better on hard wood floors than in my bedroom in the basement with carpet. Didn't have enough room to bring them out more than 2 ft if I remember.
  19. I take it you never got to biamp those Kappa 9a's with 4 Silver 7t monoblocks? And I've had a chance to hear those 8.1's on a Krell KSA amp. Those 8.1's have a little more thump than the original Kappa 8's but the Kappa 9"s are in a whole class of thier own if you have the room and the power to boot. Arnie designed those speakers perfectly.
